Eigentlich ein sch?nes und praktisches Hotel, von dem aus man in wenigen Minuten zum Strand kommt. Der hauseigene Au?enpool konnte auch im Oktober noch genutzt werden, war allerdings ziemlich kalt und für Nichtschwimmer ungeeignet, da zu tief. Man hat gemerkt, dass die Saison vorbei ist und das Angebot beim Frühstück und in der Bar bereits auf Sparflamme lief. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit.

For a 3star hotel it is well worth the money. Clean with great facilities and friendly staff. Short walk to beach. Excellent

Concernant la chambre…. Le lit refait tout les matins, un petit coup de nettoyage sur le lavabo….!!!! Et c’est tout, pour le reste même pas, un coup de balai ou d’aspirateur…. Dans la chambre et salle de bain !!!

o Hotel Balaia Mar é basicamente aquele sítio que surpreende pela positiva, especialmente se fores com expectativas realistas. Fica mesmo ali ao pé da Praia Maria Luísa, tipo 5–10 minutos a pé — ótimo spot, calmo, longe da confus?o do centro de Albufeira mas perto o suficiente pra ires lá jantar ou sair à noite. O pessoal do hotel é super simpático, a malta da rece??o e do bar trata-te como se fosses da casa, e est?o sempre prontos pra desenrascar o que precisares. A piscina é fixe, bem cuidada, com espregui?adeiras à volta e um bar mesmo ao lado — dá aquele mood de férias sem stress. Se fores daqueles que curtem passar o dia a apanhar sol e beber umas, é perfeito. O ambiente é tranquilo, nada de confus?o de resort cheio de putos aos gritos. Ideal pra relaxar, curtir o sol, ou ir à praia ali ao lado. O pre?o é bastante justo pro que oferece — tipo, n?o é um 5 estrelas, mas também n?o cobra como um. é daqueles hotéis que compensam mesmo: bom sítio, staff impecável, comida ok e sem dramas. Os quartos s?o simples mas confortáveis, têm ar condicionado, frigorífico, e varandas porreiras. Alguns est?o um bocadinho datados, mas limpos e funcionais. O pequeno-almo?o é bacano — nada gourmet, mas tens o básico todo: p?o, croissants, ovos, bacon, fruta, cereais, café.

I am currently staying at the Balaia Mar while our 2 bed apt (booked through air b &b) is perfect, well equipped, clean and very spacious I will not be returning due to atmosphere and rules at the pool area. We can not bring as much as a bottle of water to the pool without being pounced on by staff saying pool is extension of restaurant and only food/drink purchased there allowed. The bar is totally overpriced large water is €3, large beer is €5 which probably explains why the bar is empty every evening. The staff are friendly and smiling but will approach you every half an hour or so while laying on sunbeds offering cocktails/drinks, it is very annoying and does not lend to a relaxed day by the pool. Very disappointing.

I went to albufeira for 7 nights and this hotel couldn’t have been better, they were incredibly nice and helpful and it is such a nice and clean place and would totally recommend visiting there ??????

The property was a short walk to a local beach and a short drive to many attractions. The pool was nice after a day of touring.

The Hotel Balaia Mar in Albuferia is a little out of the way, approx. 15 mins by taxi from old town. There is a small beach with a restaurant bar approx. 10min walk down small slope. The hotel itself, dont expect evening entertainment, the bar is dead. The pools are good (water cold), more a couples place. The staff were very friendly. The linen and towels were changed every day. However, the breakfast was very disappointing. There was about 3 different cereals, the fruit was in one bowl i.e. banana, apple, orange (peel yourself) not diced. The cooked breakfast :/ ?? - ok, so we went to restaurant at 9.40am and the breakfast is until 10am. There was scrambled egg, beans, 2 x strips of chewy bacon and 1 x bratwurst (no normal pork sausages) left. You had to toast bread yourself, total: € 10.50 There is a Spar across the road and we stocked up on cereals and bread/snacks. There is a small fridge in each room so was handy. We ate in old town every night, approx 4 - 6 euro in Uber which is a fantastic service, arrives in minutes just download app to your phone. Restaurant prices were similar to Ireland, some cheaper than others. Glass wine approx. € 8. pint beer € 6, cocktails € 10 - € 12 but there was allways a happy hour somewhere. Would recommend if you want somewhere quiet, 1 week is enough. Paid € 2047.50 for 5 people hotel only for 7 nights June 2025.

Very friendly, welcoming and helpful Ladies in Reception. They gave us all the local areas to visit. Hotel is a 5 Minute walk from a beautiful Beach with a lovely Cave there. Rooms comfortable, clean and spacious. There's a SPAR Shop and Pharmacy across the road. Hotel is a walkable 40 minutes from New Town, which is handy for local Restaurants for Breakfast etc. The Hotel has 3 Lovely Pools. It's also a nice quiet Hotel. I would definitely stay here if returning to Albufeira.
